IT ONLY TOOK LIKE SIX MONTHS BUT WE DID IT
AH, NO. I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS SHIT. Now it’s personal.
We all love the shows we watch. We all buy the merchandise, we all buy the DVDs, we all stay here in Tumblr making and reblogging graphics because we LOVE to be invested in them.But then the Nielsen ratings appear and they burst our happy bubble.
We don’t believe them, because we watch the shows differently; we watch them in our computers, in our phones, through the network pages, through Hulu, through Netflix, BUT WE WATCH and we love them.
There’s a common enemy to all these shows, and you know what it is,
THE NIELSEN BOX.
And that’s why we should tell the world how obsolete this measurement method is. We ALL watch TV differently and we are ALL are giving money to these shows, but networks and sponsors do not seem to take this into account because they think the number of people who do this is small.
It’s time to prove them wrong.
The #NotNielsen campaign is easy:
Grab your webcam and film a video of yourself. It should be short and simple. Just tell us your name, your age (specially if you are on the 18-49 demographic THAT WOULD BE PERFECT) and say something like this.
Example:
“I am female, 24 years old and I don’t have a Nielsen box” “I watch (name of the show on the bubble you watch).” “I do not feel represented by Nielsen.”
Then upload it to Youtube and put #NotNielsen in the title and in the tags so we can find it.
We’re gonna create A MASSIVE VIRAL VIDEO.
If you are not from the United States, you can participate too! Networks are happy to know their shows are well accepted in other countries. If you own a DVD of your favorite(s) show(s) ‘in the bubble’, show it and say “I buy the DVDs” and the name of the show you watch, we’ll try to edit EVERYONE in so we have the longest video possible.
We’re starting this with the shows that were listed by E! as ‘on the bubble’ BUT if you are part of a fandom for a show that’s on the bubble too and it’s not included, let us know and tag your video anyway, because it’ll be added!

We need to do this pretty soon, since upfronts are in May. @loulzb will be editing the video, but it’s good to know in case she’s busy or she can we can have more editors, so if any of you are willing to edit, please let us know and we’ll add you to the list.
We can do this, guys, if we get a good number of videos, it will GO viral. We already have contacts to send this to, so you don’t have to worry about that.

I want to prove him wrong. Because actually I think most of us have grown to love Britta because she’s awkward and dorky and just plain wrong and the worst sometimes and we all feel awkward, dorky and the worst sometimes and she doesn’t feel like she’s “too cool for school” anymore. She’s so used to these people that she acts so as herself she even embarrasses herself more than she ever thought she would. So there.
